Through SFSC, Mother’s Voices deliver a number of Safer Families Safer Communities Parenting Programmes within local communities.

Interventions include advocacy, mentoring and awareness building sessions, amongst others.

This project is co - delivered by Mother’s Voices (SFSC), New Generation Church (office space) Positive Attitude in Education (awareness building) and Laying Roots (accountable incorporated body).

The parents that Mother’s Voice support typically have young people with problems relating to gangs and county lines, substance misuse, poor mental health, truancy and school exclusions, and other challenging behaviours within the home and in school. Through a range of interventions, Mothers Voices main aims are to:

  • Prevent parents from losing their children to death or imprisonment

  • To prevent children and young people from becoming perpetrators or victims of violent crime.

  • Provide better outcomes for children, young people and their families

  • Ensure that children and young people receive the right help at the right time

  • To provide a space where the parent voice can be heard

  • Promoting better parenting skills

  • Increase parenting confidence

  • To provide support for mothers (parents/carers/grandparents) who are facing challenges of raising children and young people.
